JUDGING CRITERIA
The Miss Westchester Pageants and Miss Hudson Valley Pageants competitions are divided into three equally scored categories: Interview, Swimsuit, and
Evening Gown. The judging is based on poise, personality, intelligence and beauty. The pageant judging panel consists of five experienced and unbiased members of the Communication, Entertainment, Fitness, Beauty, and Business fields.
AREAS OF COMPETITION
INTERVIEW
Each contestant will have a one-on-one interview with each judge. Each contestant will be judged on her ability to fulfill the titleholder’s responsibilities. Judges will assign a score based on the contestant’s communication skills, personality, personal appearance, sense of accomplishment, and knowledge and understanding of her platform issue. Contestants will not be scored on their opinions or personal beliefs.
SWIMSUIT
Each contestant will be evaluated on her overall commitment to her physical health and lifestyle. Each contestant will be judged on her level of confidence necessary to be a titleholder. Judges will assign a score based on the contestant’s physical fitness, sense of confidence and composure, and display of drive, energy and charisma.
EVENING GOWN
Each contestant will be assessed on her poise, grace, and commanding stage presence. Each contestant will be judged on her total look. Judges will assign a score based on the contestant’s beauty, carriage and grace, personality, and stage presence as well as her sense of style.

PHOTOGENIC
Contestants’ headshots are judged by members of the media for their photogenic appeal, beauty, warmth and personality projection.
STYLE
Members of the media judge contestants on their personal style, fashion sense and pageant modeling ability.

SERVICE
