Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Pratt Institute (2011)

Wherever you turn, you can find someone who needs you. As the oldest member of the youth volunteers for the Grey Oaks-Nepera Park Neighborhood Association and St. Anthony’s Church Volunteers I was successful in inspiring young people in my community to help others in need through community service. I hope to continue to inspire Westchester’s youth to volunteer their time and talents in order to make Westchester an even more beautiful, harmonious and united community.

I hope to become a successful interior designer who specializes in hospitality and event design; I also aspire to start an after-school art program for Yonkers Public School students who are lacking a confidence building education in the arts due to recent budget cuts.

Senior thesis project displayed at 2011 Pratt Show; Dean’s List/President’s List at Pratt Institute (2007-2010); ASID New York Metro Chapter: Education Legacy Fund for superior work on Interior Design projects 2009-2010 Scholarship; 4 of 6 projects archived by Pratt Institute (2009-2010); International Baccalaureate Diploma from Yonkers High School; National Honor Society; Art National Honor Society; Spanish National Honor Society; Honor Roll/Principal’s List (2003-2007); currently Miss Hudson Valley 2012

In my year as Miss Hudson Valley, I hope to be a positive role model for young girls despite the many negative influences in the media and world today. I would also like to inspire Hudson Valley residents to make a positive difference in our community through community service.

After my year as Miss Hudson Valley, I would like people to know that there is more to a pageant contestant than a pretty face. We are intelligent, ambitious young women who serve as positive role models for others and want to make a positive difference in our communities and in the lives of others.

“We’ve got to make a difference in this life. With one voice, one heart, two hands, we can.” – Leann Rimes
